The sequel to the unexpected hit Class of 1984, Class of 1999 tries to keep the basic hyper punk and high school theme, while giving the series a heavy dose of science fiction. (blog post) Evidently that wasn't a good move, as this film bombed at (blog post)(blog post) the box office - but is there more to this than meets the eye? Or perhaps, should it have been left in the 20th century and been forgotten?
