Monster Island (2019) (Movie Review)

Monster Island, a mockbuster of The Asylum which came out in 2019 just around the time of Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is about an island called Monster Island that houses a monster. In a sense, the monster is Monster Island itself.


This film is about an asylum. It has about the same amount of money as a big kid's dinner (here) and uses it sparingly. It only features a handful of human characters. The big stars are kept on one set so they can all film their scenes during lunch. But let's not forget that this is a kaiju movie, and that's kind of how they go, so maybe The Asylum won't do such a bad job?
